Enjoying a good level of autonomy the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become head of the electrical department by helping establish an electrical team and developing client relationships. With multiple repeat clients and many projects secured and pending, the new electrical project manager will have many opportunities to identify and address electrical requirements and aid in their ultimate delivery. The Role and its Responsibilities The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the full 'cradle to grave' process of electrical installations from the estimating/tender stage through to commissioning and handover. For around 80% of their projects our client works as principal contractor directly with the end users who come from sectors such as NHS, prisons, council owned buildings etc. The Electrical Project Manager will be client-facing and a mixture of office/site-based, overseeing projects from start to finish & ensuring successful delivery. The Individual The successful candidate will be an ambitious Electrical Project Manager or Engineer looking to advance their career to head of department and will be happy to build their own electrical team. They must be happy & confident in client-facing situations, have the ability to recognise opportunities for business development, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to manage a project from cradle to grave. Skills and Qualifications * Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Engineer * The ability to price up jobs * Strong understanding of electrical systems * Excellent client management and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong client relationships. * Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage project budgets effectively. * Ability to demonstrate a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
