MEC Humber is a highly experienced, accredited Mechanical & Electrical contractor delivering nationwide services to domestic, commercial, and industrial clients. Established in 2015 and continuously expanding, we provide a full range of M&E services including plumbing, heating, electrical installations, gas work, drainage systems, and HVAC systems. Registered with Constructionline, CHAS, Gas Safe, F-Gas, WaterSafe and NICEIC, we are committed to delivering compliant, high-quality engineering services across diverse sectors such as healthcare, education, construction, leisure, and more.
Your role will include servicing, maintaining and installing commercial gas systems nationwide, this role will include travelling to client site(s). You will be required to be able to obtain a DBS check as some of our clients include Schools, Prisons and the NHS.
As our Commercial Gas Engineer your main responsibilities will include:
- Reactive repairs and maintenance of new and existing commercial gas appliances including, servicing and repairs to commercial boilers and other appliances, installations of new gas appliances such as heating systems, warm air heaters/tube heaters, new gas pipeline installation.
- Installation of new domestic/commercial heating systems in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
- Pipework purging, testing & commissioning.
- Issuing notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety.
- Attending appointments as scheduled and instructed.
- Adhering to manufacturer's instructions when servicing, repairing, or installing appliances.
- Providing information to allow records to be updated following service and Testing and issue Landlord Gas Safety record using electronic or manual documentation.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
- At least two years' experience in plumbing.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
- Knowledge and experience of working on commercial plumbing systems.
- A strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, equipment and controls.
- A full driving license.
- City and Guilds qualifications.
- Commercial Gas Qualifications: (COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1 or TPCP1a).
- Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT.
It would be great if you had:
- LPG or Oil Qualifications or experience.
- CSCS Qualifications.
