Clean and sanitise sausage and salami production areas, machinery and equipment.
Clean mincers, mixers, sausage fillers, slicers, tables, trays and utensils.
Wash and disinfect floors, walls, drains and food-contact surfaces.
Carry out daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning.
Maintain high hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination and Listeria contamination.
Follow food safety, HACCP, COSHH and health and safety procedures.
Use cleaning chemicals, equipment and PPE correctly and safely.
Clean and maintain cold rooms, storage areas, changing rooms and staff facilities.
Remove waste and keep production areas clean and organised.
Complete daily cleaning checklists and hygiene records.
Report hygiene issues, damaged equipment and safety hazards to management.
Ensure all production areas and equipment are clean and ready for the next production shift.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented Cleaner / Hygiene Operative to join our sausage and salami manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across production areas, machinery, equipment and facilities. The role involves daily cleaning and sanitisation, following food safety and hygiene procedures, preventing cross-contamination and ensuring a safe and clean working environment. The successful candidate should be punctual, organised, physically fit and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial cleaning is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
