Meatlink UK Limited is a meat wholesaler specialising in supplying high-quality beef, pork, lamb, and poultry to butchers, wholesalers, distributors, and other food industries. This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Supervisor based in Market Harborough. The Production Supervisor will manage daily production activities, oversee production schedules, plan and allocate resources efficiently, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. The role involves supervising production teams, communicating with stakeholders, and addressing operational challenges to meet production goals effectively.

The Main Duties Involve:

  • Production of Burgers/Koftas/Sausages/Pressed Fat and other further processing products.
  • Cutting, trimming, mincing and preparing of the raw material.
  • Operating machinery to press burgers, koftas, sausages etc.
  • Label and pack finished product and book into stock.
  • Store goods and raw materials properly in our warehouse.
  • Clean work areas following procedures.
  • The role does require the operative to work in a cold environment. Protective clothing will be provided.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience:

  • Experience in meat processing is essential, with HACCP and general food hygiene knowledge.
  • Must have basic knife skills and an eye for attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Mechanical knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Supervisory Skills with experience in team management and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Production Schedules and Production Planning to optimize workflows.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Production Management to ensure operational efficiency and quality performance.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Prior experience in the food industry or perishable goods management is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in food production is a plus.
