Role Definition
Reporting to backshift production supervisor this role is based in a chilled room production line area, process and packaging goods to a quality standard, to deadlines, whilst complying at all times with company operating requirements and good manufacturing practices. Paying special regard to
- quality, cost control, yield and utilization
- health, safety and ethics
- product safety, authenticity and integrity
- labelling
- company, personal and food hygiene rules and legislation
Key Responsibilities
- produce required products meeting company and customer standards to planned volume and schedule
- ensure necessary replenishment requirements
- ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
- follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times
- drive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operation
- keep and maintain appropriate records as required
- carry out production checks when required
- ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standard’s of operation and safe operating procedures
- ensure consistent and timely attendance
- provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
- provide pro and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers
- to ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements defined by our customers requirements and BRC standards
Person Specification
- speaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language (essential health and safety, traceability and quality control requirement)
- basic numeracy skills
- quickly, cleanly and efficiently processing food items in production line team
- working in a chilled environment
- flexible, adaptable and keen to learn
- learning and implementing new information quickly
- strong team collaborator
Pay Rate and Shift Pattern –£12.60 per hour, 39 hours per week.
