Cranswick Country Foods Poultry is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers.
Responsibilities
Main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the management of the department, to consistently improve the departmental throughput and performance by facilitating all of the tasks relating to the successful organisation. Be responsible for the management and coordination of High Risk operations including, cooking, cooling and packing.
Key elements
- To promote, monitor and maintain a high standard of hygienic practice, and quality to ensure good manufacturing practice working within the best interests of the Company at all times.
- To co-ordinate with Low Risk Manager and Packing to production plan and to achieve the agreed production plan.
- Provide guidance and leadership focused around delivering of manufacturing KPI’s and increasing year on year performance.
- To communicate, report and performance manage the available manufacturing resources whilst maintaining good industrial relations within a positive and supportive environment.
- Establish management and communication practices to include all employees’ positive involvement with full training and opportunity for constructive input and action.
- To promote, monitor and maintain a high standard of occupational health and safety, continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
- Cope under pressure and flex with production peaks, ensuring the team are supported and achieve their objectives
- Act on decisions with the required amount of urgency
- Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed customers’ expectations.
- To fully deploy process operational awareness / skills in order to facilitate provision of cover and team leadership
Shift pattern is: 4on 4off from 5am to 5pm
