We are looking for skilled Machine Operators to join our growing team in Kirkham, on a Permanent contract (Two shift rotation – 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00) with an hourly rate of pay of £13.80. Our Machine Operators work on fast paced moving lines, making products to the speed of the conveyor and completing hygiene duties.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating machinery according to our Standard Operating Procedures
- Completing intervention cleandowns using chemicals and according to standard operating procedures
- Maintaining your work station while ensuring the quality and presentation of the products meeting the required standards
- Ensuring all record sheets are filled in correctly and in a timely manner
- Being a good communicator and able to direct team members
- Taking responsibility for implementing staff rotation plans
- Working closely with the Line Leader
- Using M3 (Movex) and Insata and Input of data
- Demonstrating the ability to monitor equipment during operations, making sure it is working properly by comparing settings on the machinery against the RUN DATA
- Performing all basic production equipment operation, completing safety checks on startups, ensuring a steady workflow, and achieving and maintaining production standards
- Understanding the product that is being produced and utilising the specifications
- Having an active interest in the lines efficiency and performance.
Requirements:
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic team player who is level headed and a logical thinker
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a Production facility will be advantageous but not required
- Able to work under pressure in some occasions
- The ability to take instruction but also ability to work on own initiative
- This is a physically demanding job. You must be able to execute heavy lifting up to 15 kg
- Successful candidates must be flexible to the needs of the business on a day to day basis.
