A vacancy has arisen for a Procurement Supervisor based at our Llanybydder Site. The role will involve the Supervision of the Site Procurement Team to support the procurement of livestock from suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of raw material for production
Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Supervising the activities of Procurement Personnel.
- Maximising procurement of lambs for the site.
- Monitoring competitor activities in the market place and analysing any potential effect to the company, reporting back to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure production requirements are met and requirements are communicated to the Field Officers.
- Manage and co-ordinate livestock numbers for overnight lairaging.
- Maintaining effective communication to include communication of changes in buying prices and grids to be forwarded to Field Officers and Agents and the Group Procurement Manager.
- Ensure product quality specifications are fully met.
- Manage and inform producers of production days and factory requirements.
- Manage and investigate producer complaints and follow through results to the complainant and relevant site personnel.
- Ensure livestock procurement is carried out within Group Procedures.
- Ensure all livestock are delivered by appropriate haulage methods which comply with the relevant welfare codes of practice and EC legislation.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in Sales and Marketing or a Business-related discipline.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience of developing customer relations.
- Strong IT skills in particular with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility β You will be required to travel for work purposes.
- A full and valid UK driving licence is required.
