Role Responsibilities
- Replacing broken or damaged glass units in windows and doors
- Installing and repairing UPVC, and timber aluminium windows, doors, and frames
- Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repair solutions
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Working in both occupied and void properties
- Using handheld devices (PDA) to log work and update job status
- Liaising with tenants and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
- Supporting other trades and contributing to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in glazing and UPVC, and timber aluminium repairs
- Experience in the above duties
- Must be competent with all aspects of glazing and UPVC timber aluminium works including installing/replacing hinges, handles, restrictors, locks and sliding gear
- Must have experience of and be able to undertake changing of UPVC trims, sills and renewing of double‑glazed units
- You must be able to measure glass and doors and confidently order materials with our suppliers
- Must be familiar with composite doors
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks
- Full UK driving licence
