Bricklayer

We’re looking for an experienced and hardworking Bricklayer to join our growing team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract. This is a practical, hands-on role focused on delivering a wide range of bricklaying duties within occupied social housing properties. With a consistent pipeline of work and a strong commitment to raising housing standards, this is a great opportunity to be part of a team making a real impact in the community. We’re seeking someone who takes pride in their craft, works efficiently, and consistently delivers high-quality results from the outset.

Duties:

• Building new brick walls
• Restoring damaged or deteriorated brickwork
• Identifying and repairing cracks or fractures in walls to prevent further damage and maintain safety
• Rendering full walls
• Mixing and applying mortar or adhesives to bind bricks and blocks
• Cutting bricks or blocks to size using hand or power tools
• Constructing foundations, retaining walls, and other structural elements
• Repointing brickwork to improve appearance and structural integrity
• Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
• Setting out and levelling courses to ensure accurate alignment
• Installing damp-proofing or insulation materials where required
• Working with other trades to coordinate site activities
• Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring safe working practices
• Cleaning work areas and disposing of waste materials responsibly
• Adhering to health and safety regulations on-site
• Applying decorative finishes or brick patterns as needed

Role Criteria:

• Experienced in bricklaying
• Customer service focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Multi skilled experience in a wet trade (e.g. plastering & tiling)
