Due to internal progression, Mears are looking for a Trainer to join our team in Coatbridge. As a business where people and care are at the heart of what we do, you will be part of a growing care team. You’ll join them in their mission to develop and train the next generation of our future healthcare experts. We aim to work in partnership with commissioners and others to develop and deliver high-quality care in the community to vulnerable people. Our goal is to provide housing with care based on an enabling approach with an outcome focused support planning process.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll support the training and development of the business. You’ll be responsible for making sure our people have everything they need to do their very best work:
- Carrying out training needs assessment interviews with staff.
- Observe practices as a means of checks to identifying training needs.
- Liaising with co-ordinators in organising staff attendance at training courses.
- Delivering 'Skills for Care' induction, 'Safe Moving and Handling' and other training courses in the branch.
- Arranging training courses with suitably qualified and approved external training providers as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date training records.
- To conform to the UKHCA Code of Professional Conduct in relation to the operation of the Home Care Service.
- Keeping own training in relevant areas up to date.
Key Criteria
- Have experience in adult social care.
- Hold Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector certificate or equivalent and be willing to complete this qualification if not already in possession.
- Be friendly and professional, demonstrating caring values leading by example.
- Be flexible in meeting the needs of the business.
- A full driving licence, valid to drive in the UK with access to your own transport.
- You will be required to cover the training needs of the Rotherham branch and Leeds branch.
- You may also be required to cover other branches in order to meet the needs of the business.
