About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Tiler to join our team, working on the Mears contract with North Lanarkshire Council. You’ll be tiling kitchens and bathrooms in social housing void properties, carrying out repairs and refurbishments to the highest standards. This is a solo‑working role, so you’ll need to be confident, reliable, and able to manage your own workload effectively.
- Carry out high‑quality tiling work in kitchens and bathrooms.
- Undertake repairs, fault finding, and refurbishment activities in line with agreed standards.
- Work to a “first‑time fix” approach, completing jobs on time and within budget.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, clients, and colleagues.
- Use a handheld device (PDA) for job management, documentation, and van stock control.
- Maintain excellent Health & Safety standards and company presentation at all times.
- Ensure tools, materials, and company assets are well maintained.
Key Criteria
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Tiling.
- Proven tiling experience (kitchens and bathrooms).
- Experience working in social housing.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Additional trade skills such as plastering, plumbing, or joinery.
