About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced plasterer to join our team in Peterborough. You will work with Peterborough Councils on various residential projects, including occupied, void properties, and communal areas. Our team is committed to high standards and excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities will include all aspects of plaster repairs, from minor patches to complete room replastering, including removal, patching, boarding, over-boarding, thermal boarding, and plastering. External works such as sand and cement renders are also part of the role.
You will ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining professionalism in communication, appearance, and vehicle condition, while adhering to high Health & Safety standards. You may also be asked to gather customer feedback upon project completion.
All activities will be processed electronically via a handheld device (PDA), including worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence, stock management, leave bookings, vehicle inspections, safeguarding, risk assessments, and method statements.
Role Criteria:
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to complete neat and clean work
- Knowledge of various plastering backgrounds, including damp issues
- Experience with hacking off, bonding, multi-finish, dot and dab, ceilings, textured surfaces, and damp proofing
- Full UK driving licence
- Own hand tools
- Customer service experience
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points. All roles are subject to DBS/security checks prior to employment.
