Celtic Horizons delivers estate services for United Welsh, including gas servicing, grounds maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and maintenance. Celtic Horizons was the first wholly owned subsidiary of its kind formed by United Welsh, who have entered into a partnership with Mears Group. Celtic Horizons cares for over 5000 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.

About the Role

As a Painter and Decorator, you will join our Damp, Mould, Condensation, and Disrepairs team. Your primary responsibility will be resolving residents’ priority issues promptly and effectively.

You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver damp, mould, and remediation works, using industry-standard techniques and products. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of satisfaction and trust our customers have in Celtic Horizons.

Role Criteria

  • Hold City and Guilds Level 2 in Painting & Decorating
  • Appropriate experience working in the building construction/maintenance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of skills, technology, and safety procedures required for the tasks
  • Ability to understand and interpret work instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Preferably, damp and mould remediation experience

All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.

All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks before employment.

Required Qualifications: Trade Painting & Decorating L3 or equivalent.

Salary: Up to £30,892.48 PA
