Group Communications Executive

Hybrid / remote, permanent full-time role paying a salary of up to £38,000 depending on experience, plus great company benefits.

We are looking for a Group Communications Executive to join our team!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previously worked in an in-house comms team or in an agency and can come in, hit the ground running and make an impact.

You will help to protect and enhance the Mears brand, positioning Mears as a socially responsible business, a leading housing solutions provider and a great place to work.

About the Role:

As a Group Communications Executive in our in-house communications team you will work across the Group to ensure best in class communications that protects and enhances our brand and positions Mears as a socially responsible business and a great place to work.

This is a fast paced and rewarding role that requires an outstanding communicator with a proven track record of creating a range of communication content. The successful Group Communications Executive will be a self-starter with the ability to hit the ground running.

You will be responsible for creating excellent internal and external communications that support our strategy. You’ll be a great storyteller and able to develop and deliver end-to-end communications campaigns, incorporating a variety of communications methods across a range of channels.

Working with key stakeholders, you’ll deliver agreed tasks against our communication plans and objectives and to deadline.

You must be creative in your thinking and able to manage multiple tasks at any one time.

We’re looking for a self-starter with lots of ideas and a proven track record of delivering great comms!

Role criteria:

  • Experience of working in an agency or in-house communications team
  • Knowledge and understanding of communications theory and practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
  • Good writing and content creation, with the ability to adapt style for a range of audiences and channels
  • Creativity and ability to generate ideas for copy, design and campaigns
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to juggle priorities, work to short deadlines and plan schedules of work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with other members of the team
