Celtic Horizons is a partnership between United Welsh Group and Mears Group PLC, delivering repairs, maintenance and improvement services to over 6,800 homes across South Wales. The work we do helps keep homes safe, well maintained and in good condition for the people who live in them. Every day our teams are out in the community delivering a range of repairs, maintenance and planned improvement works across local housing. This is practical, hands-on work that makes a real difference to residents and the communities we serve.
You will be part of the operational team working within the Celtic Horizons partnership, supporting United Welsh tenants across South Wales. Your contract will be issued under Celtic Horizons as part of the local partnership structure. Our focus is on delivering a reliable, high-quality service and treating residents and their homes with care and respect.
About the Role:
We are looking for 3 X Ground Maintenance Operative to join our expanding team. You will be working as part of a team ensuring our clients receive high levels of service and satisfaction. You will be part of a committed team ensuring the local community including communal areas are kept clean and tidy in a way that you would expect your own space to be kept.
You will be responsible for carrying out the following:
- Clearing Grounds of all litter
- Cutting of grass and bushes
- If qualified, weed spraying and the use of chain saws etc.
Key Criteria:
- Willing to work in all weather conditions as you will be working outside
- Full UK Driving License
- Previous experience as a Grounds maintenance operative or Equivalent
- A good understanding for the importance Health & Safety.

- Hard Working
- Team Player
- Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience - preferred but not essential
- PA1/PA6 Pesticide licence – preferred but not essential
