Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum plus £4,800 car allowance
Contract: 3-month Fixed Term Contract with possible extension subject to contract win
This is a key mobilisation role supporting the successful implementation of the Support for Victims of Modern Slavery (SVMS) contract. The Home Office is due to award the contract in August. Working closely with the Mobilisation Director, you will play a central role in ensuring the service is fully mobilised and ready for Operational Service Commencement, and that delivery in the early months is safe, compliant and effective.
You will provide programme-level leadership across mobilisation workstreams, ensuring contractual commitments are translated into operational reality. The role requires strong project and programme management capability, confident stakeholder engagement and the ability to drive delivery at pace in a complex public sector environment.
- Provide programme-level leadership and coordination across mobilisation workstreams
- Own and manage the SVMS Implementation Plan and related documentation
- Develop and maintain programme plans, dependency maps, risk logs and assurance products
- Apply project and programme management best practice across planning, scheduling, financial management and reporting
- Drive delivery against mobilisation milestones, managing risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities
- Coordinate mobilisation assurance activity including readiness checklists and evidence packs
- Manage and engage supply partners and key stakeholders across regional and specialist delivery
- Support mobilisation readiness across supply partners
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Mobilisation Director, Mears senior leadership team and the Authority
- Ensure safeguarding, quality and compliance requirements are embedded from day one
- Support the controlled transition from mobilisation into business as usual
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and trauma-informed, user-focused delivery
Key Criteria:
- Strong background in project management with experience of implementation
- Experience of establishing, managing and maintaining project plans
- Proven experience overseeing and tracking the implementation of new processes, systems and solutions
- Experience of working to deadlines and monitoring performance
- Strong stakeholder and people management skills
- Experience of working with public sector clients
- Experience of working with supply chain partners
- Excellent organisation, planning and critical path management skills
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Articulate and confident communicator
