About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Gas Supervisor to join our team in Ilford, delivering high-quality gas servicing, repairs, and installations across our clients’ housing stock. Your role will be vital in ensuring that all gas appliances and systems are safe, compliant, and fit for continued use.
Key Responsibilities:
- To supervise and manage on a day to day basis the gas service program, repair works &/or breakdowns / Installations as required.
- To monitor and control the work & drive the Health & Safety culture within both the team assigned & the gas team.
- To monitor progress and completion of works from the Operatives and Subcontractors through the MCM system to achieve the KPI requirements of the Client.
- Assist your team to provide a comprehensive gas maintenance and installation service within domestic premises, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and departmental procedures.
- To maintain all paperwork and electronic data records relevant to the work carried out.
- To work with other supervisors & operational gas team members for the purpose of learning from each other.
- To monitor engineers existing stock and the collection of materials as required.
- To carry out informal and formal meetings and training sessions.
- To participate in call out cover if and when required.
Key Criteria:
- Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance
- Hold valid ACS certification (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1)
- Line management experience
- Good understanding of electrical safe isolation and basic wiring principles
- Knowledge of current gas safety legislation and compliance standards
- Experience working in social housing or local authority environments (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
- Flexible and willing to travel across properties
- Full UK driving licence
