About the role:
As a Decorator, you will undertake a variety of internal and external painting tasks across residential properties. Internal work involves preparing surfaces and applying emulsion and gloss finishes to ceilings and walls, focusing on kitchens and bathrooms. Tasks include glossing woodwork such as doors, door frames, skirting boards, and architraves to a high standard. The role primarily supports void property refurbishments and response maintenance jobs, ensuring properties are returned to a lettable or livable condition efficiently and professionally. Externally, painters will work at height using ladders to prepare and paint fascia boards, soffits, and timber elements, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks before employment begins.
