We’re looking for a super-organised Commercial Analyst who’s quick-thinking and versatile, proactive and can work as part of a team; the kind of person who can turn their hand to anything at a moment’s notice to ensure that commercial and operational teams have everything they need to do their jobs and that the company runs efficiently. Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northwest, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021 Mears had over 19000 service users across the three regions. Mears work in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
About the Role:
This role will perform a key function to liaise with landlords, administrate, manage and assess costs of repairs/construction works to landlord properties and also allocate how costs are apportioned within the asylum contract. The role is key to ensuring Mears costs are driven down whilst providing good service.
Role Criteria:
Ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
Experience of producing works programmes
Ability to work unsupervised and liaise closely with client representatives.
