**What does a role as a Heating Engineer look like:** Your work will be varied and involve using a diverse range of skills to enable you to be involved in planned works e.g., Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishments and providing ongoing maintenance and repair activities.
**The apprenticeship course will cover the following:**
- Apply Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation in the Building Services Engineering Sector
- Establish and Maintain Good Working
- Perform Electrical Work on Mechanical Building Services Systems
- Install and Test Industrial and Commercial Heating and Ventilating Pipework Systems
- Inspect and Pre-Commission Industrial and Commercial Heating and Ventilating Systems
- Commission Industrial and Commercial Heating and Ventilating Systems
- Decommission Industrial and Commercial Heating and Ventilating Systems
- Service and Maintain Industrial and Commercial Heating and Ventilating Systems
- Service and Maintain Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems
**What do you need to be a successful applicant:**
- The potential to work at SCQF level 6/7
- The ability and desire to learn and develop a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships
- You must live within a North Lanarkshire postcode and be able to independently travel to and from the branch
