Full time β Permanent, 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday
We currently deliver over 25 Planned Works Contracts, providing high-quality housing maintenance solutions across the UK. With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver more than 6,000 housing repairs daily to more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide.We provide tailored rapid-response and planned housing maintenance services to meet the needs of over 70 local authorities, Armβs Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations partners.
About the Role:
Due to a recent promotion, we are looking at hiring a Carpenter and Joiner to join our team. You will be part of a local team undertaking high standard Carpentry & Joinery repairs and refurbishment activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.
- Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs to social housing in occupied properties
- Undertaking 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry
- Responsible for duties to include but not limited to β hanging doors, skirting, architraves, fixing windows / doors, lock changes, repairing worktops, kitchen units etc
- Providing high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria:
- Experience or NVQ in Carpentry
- Social housing experience
- Full UK valid driving license
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
