£28,917 per annum plus company car or £3,500 car allowance. Full time, 6 month fixed term contract up to 6 months, 40 hours per week across 7-day shift pattern. This will include working out of hours, paid via standby and call-out rates where applicable.

About the Role: We are working with our client to bring families to the UK under the Afghan Resettlement and Assistance Policy. Initially housed in transit estates, some families will move to community homes, others to dispersed accommodation across the UK. Mears will provide integration support services during this period, including safeguarding, practical and emotional support, monitoring wellbeing, and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes. Maintaining boundaries and resilience are essential to providing professional and effective support.

Role Criteria:

  • Experience working with vulnerable and diverse client groups
  • Understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to identify support needs and packages to maintain independence
  • Experience with mental health and challenging behaviour
  • Effective communication with colleagues, authorities, and service users
  • Record keeping and risk assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Resilient and empathetic
  • Full UK driving license

All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is offered. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points. All roles are subject to DBS/security checks.

Required qualifications include accurate record-keeping, customer service, liaison, report writing, risk management, safeguarding, and teamwork.
