Pyramid Plus South, a joint venture partnership between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, provides repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned replacements and fire risk assessment works. We successfully complete over 46,000 repairs, 1,000 voids and fit 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually to 23,500 homes. About the Role:

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working in our social housing, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. This role will see you working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, part of a local team assisting the Commercial & General Manager with commercial control & reporting on high standard Commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.

  • Provide support and assistance towards the financial management of the joint venture maintenance contract, ensuring that financial targets are achieved.
  • Provide an effective interface with the clients, Partnering management, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Review, Validate and approve subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2) to ensure value for money is achieved.
  • Agree subcontractor valuations and payments.
  • Value/Measure work in Line with Contractual pricing agreements (NHF V7.2).
  • Identify, build up, Generate and Agree Variations with the client.
  • Application & Usage of NHF Schedule of Rates for Cost & Value.
  • Optimal Commercial Usage of Asset Management system by adhering to MEARS commercial protocol and processes.

Role Criteria:

  • Previous social housing experience working across Voids & Repairs Business streams.
  • Have experience in working NHF Scheduler of rates and dealing with SOR codes.
  • Experience Measuring Works, Generating and Agreeing applications.
  • Experience Reviewing, Validating and approving subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2).
  • Experience managing supply chain Partners.
  • Experience in financial reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.
  • IT skills including advanced Excel and Word are essential.
