Role Overview: We’re currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Joiner to deliver high‑quality carpentry repairs and maintenance in social housing properties. In this hands‑on role you will respond to a variety of day‑to‑day repair requests—replacing internal doors, fixing skirting boards and architraves, fitting kitchen units and bathrooms, and carrying out general carpentry work. Your ability to work efficiently, solve problems on‑site, and provide excellent customer service will be essential.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out day‑to‑day carpentry repairs in social housing properties as part of a responsive maintenance service
- Replace and repair internal doors, frames, handles, locks, and hinges
- Fit and adjust kitchen units, bathrooms, worktops, cupboard doors, and pelmets
- Install or replace skirting boards, architraves and other decorative joinery
- Repair or replace timber flooring, stair components and handrails where required
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations
- Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
Criteria:
- Experience fitting interiors
- Site‑based experience as a Joiner
- Must hold a full UK manual driving licence
- A great team player with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
