The predicted salary is between 29000 - 40000 £ per year.
Salary £35,278.74 per annum, to include company van, fuel card, PPE, uniform etc. MPS has been caring for residents’ homes for over 25 years. As part of the Mears Group, we offer partnership solutions and expertise in estate management and property maintenance.
Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide including Orbit: one of the largest housing providers in the midlands, east Anglia and the southeast.
We are now seeking five Multi Skilled Operatives to join us in the Ealing/Kent Area of the business to support our ongoing partnership with Orbit; now in its twelfth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative with MPS you’ll have involvement with larger jobs like bathroom and kitchen fittings as well as smaller, reactive repairs and maintenance across our portfolio of properties. Working from ‘job’ to ‘job’, on your planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks.
You’ll need plenty of previous experience and a positive ‘can do’ attitude to excel in this role, meeting new people and delivering high standards of work and service are key. This role covers areas such as Hampshire and London - South, West and a little bit of the North.
Role Criteria:
- Extensive on-the-job experience in multiple trades such as Carpentry & Joinery, Plastering, Plumbing, and Glazing
- Hold a Full UK Driving License
- Have own tools
- Be a great team player as well as possess the ability to work under your own initiative
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- IT literate for PDA use
- Happy with travel
- Ideally hold a trade qualification especially if you don't have much firsthand experience
