Salary:
- Age 16–18: £8.00 per hour — 40 hours per week (including time at college)

You will join Mears Group in the week end of August / start of September. The programme has an expected duration of approximately 15 months.

As an apprentice within our Darlington branch, you will be part of our commercial team, listening, observing and participating in a wide range of tasks that will support your development and contribute to the successful completion of your apprenticeship programme. You will be supported by your line manager, mentor and college to ensure you gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed. You will support the team by carrying out a variety of administrative and office-based tasks while working towards your Business Administration qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Introduction to business administration within a commercial environment
- Maintain high standards of attendance, punctuality and personal appearance at work and college
- Attend formal and informal meetings and training sessions to maintain job knowledge and progression
- Work under the guidance of a mentor to complete tasks to given specifications
- Support the efficient running of workloads within the function
- Organise time and resources effectively, prioritising tasks to meet work demands
- Show initiative, commitment and perseverance when working towards goals
- Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and electronic records
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental and data protection requirements
- Communicate professionally with internal and external customers
- Represent Mears positively at all times and report any suspicious behaviour
