Annual salary: £45,000 + £4,800 car allowance

Contract: Permanent, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location / Coverage: Home‑based role. Candidates must live in either Milton Keynes or the South East, with coverage across both regions and nationwide travel required depending on business needs.

About The Role: Due to continued success and growth within our Housing Maintenance division, we are recruiting for a brand‑new Mobilisation Project Lead to support the delivery of new contract mobilisations. This role is ideal for a highly organised and methodical professional who can engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth mobilisation and transition of new business. As one of the primary contacts for new clients, you will represent Mears to a high standard, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a strong customer‑focused approach. You will take ownership of all aspects of mobilisation activity, ensuring operational and commercial risks are mitigated and that services are fully prepared for a successful “go‑live”. Following mobilisation, you will oversee the transition into business as usual, ensuring all commitments, standard operating procedures, and KPIs are embedded and performing as expected. Alongside mobilisation delivery, the role includes an assurance function, overseeing and managing the quality of standard operating procedure documentation across the division. This role will involve regular travel to site and client locations across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review bid submissions and convert them into detailed mobilisation plans
  • Understand and interpret contractual obligations to ensure compliant service delivery
  • Apply project management methodologies to manage the end‑to‑end mobilisation process
  • Identify and allocate mobilisation actions, roles, and responsibilities
  • Attend client meetings and workshops (on site and via MS Teams) as required
  • Prepare and manage contract and site‑specific risk registers
  • Work collaboratively with customer service and training teams across Mears specialist areas to deliver guidance and training
  • Produce regular internal reports highlighting risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Oversee and quality‑review standard operating procedures, including Business Continuity and Contract Compliance Plans
  • Review and track delivery of bid commitments throughout the contract lifecycle
