We are seeking a passionate Multi Skilled Operative to join our rapidly expanding team within a busy repairs environment. You will carry out individual job actions across six schools, ensuring clients receive high levels of service and satisfaction. A trade-relevant qualification and general commercial building experience with a plumbing bias are required. A full driving licence is mandatory, and you should be comfortable working on an out-of-hours call-out rota.
Duties:
- Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across six schools
- Complete multi-trade works including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and decorating
- Repair or replace skirting boards, architraves, internal door frames, doors, locks, hinges
- Install and adjust kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors
- Identify and resolve minor plumbing issues such as leaks, dripping taps and blocked sinks
- Carry out patch plastering and make good to damaged walls and ceilings
- Complete wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing
- Undertake painting and decorating to a professional standard following repair works
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with current standards
- Work respectfully within occupied areas in line with school needs and privacy
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in school environments
- Accurately record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
- Report any additional works, safeguarding concerns or building issues outside the original scope
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good working order
- Manage daily workload effectively to meet service level targets
- Participate in the out-of-hours emergency repair rota when required
Role Criteria:
- Experience in multiple trades
- Reactive maintenance background
- IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills
- Electrical experience is preferable
- Full UK driving licence required; licence must be held for at least 3 months and have fewer than 9 points
