Contract Type: Zero-hour contract

Hourly rate: £12.60 an hour, plus great company benefits.

About The Role:

Care Workers really make a difference to the lives of our service users, offering a highly personal service you will be helping to enable people to live as independently as possible in their own home, by providing the best standards of care and support. Nichols Court is based in one location, across 3 floors and houses 40 independent flats, so a driving license is not required for this role, as long as you can get to work. Shifts available are 7am – 11am, 7am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm until 7am.

You Will Be Required To:

  • Assist with all elements of personal care, to ensure service users are supported in being as independent as possible in preparation for their day ahead; washing, dressing, support with administering medication.
  • Assisting service users with preparing healthy meals.
  • Light household chores around the flats.
  • Offering companionship and helping build service users confidence and independence.

Key Criteria:

  • Successful candidates must be willing to work alternate weekends.
  • No previous experience is required, full training will be provided.
  • Practical subjects such as cooking and household responsibilities.
  • Health and safety; moving and handling.
  • Personal care.
  • Medication.
  • Dementia assistance.
