Contract: Full Time Permanent
Salary: up to £33,500 per annum, plus company van & fuel card
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8:00–17:00, Monday–Friday)
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Plumber to join our expanding team, supporting a busy planned works contract in Folkestone. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance tasks in occupied social housing properties.

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned plumbing works within occupied and void properties, including full bathroom refurbishments and adaptations
- Install flush‑floor (wet room) bathrooms, including preparation works, pipework alterations, and final fit‑out
- Remove existing bathroom suites and make good areas in preparation for new installations
- Install and connect toilets, basins, level‑access showers, shower trays, wastes, traps, and associated fittings
- Modify, repair, or replace hot and cold water pipework to suit new bathroom layouts and designs
- Install and adapt drainage systems to accommodate flush‑floor shower installations
- Carry out plumbing works associated with accessibility adaptations, ensuring installations meet required standards and specifications
- Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems, controls, and radiators as part of planned upgrades
- Ensure all works comply with current plumbing regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety requirements
- Accurately record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
- Liaise with supervisors and other trades to ensure works are completed on time and to specification
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
- Work respectfully in residents’ homes, maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment throughout the works
- Identify and report any additional works, defects, safeguarding concerns, or property issues encountered on site
- Adhere to all company health & safety policies and procedures at all times
- Provide consistently high levels of customer care and professionalism, minimising disruption to residents
Role Criteria (Qualifications)
- Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a plumbing position
- Previous experience in tiling
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Provide own hand and power tools
- Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota

City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3; fully competent in all plumbing works and in related trades for kitchen and bathroom refurbishment contracts.
