Annual salary: up to £70,000.00 plus £4,500 Car Allowance, mileage paid while travelling to branches, and a range of company benefits.
Overview
As a high‑impact business partner, you will provide commercial support to the operational branch leadership teams across Essex and London. The primary purpose of this role is to take full responsibility for understanding the commercial model, taking ownership of the financial performance and profitability of the contract, and translating financial data into meaningful insights for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with branch operational teams, understanding their processes and delivering commercial and financial insights.
- Deliver monthly financial performance reviews and insightful commentary, including understanding risks and opportunities to annual targets.
- Produce rolling forecasts, annual budgets and any commercial contract requirements such as repricing and tendering opportunities.
- Communicate complex financial and commercial data to non‑financial teams, taking a proactive hands‑on approach and working on own initiative.
Qualifications
- Experience managing low‑value/high‑volume job data in detail.
- Demonstrable experience engaging with and developing collaborative working relationships.
- Experience preparing and presenting financial reporting.
- Experience with commercial contracts.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including non‑financial backgrounds.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent time‑management.
- Proactive, self‑managed, flexible approach to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in social housing and housing maintenance.
- Commercial understanding of social housing, including working with Schedule of Rates, subcontractors, job pricing, and final accounts.
