About The Role
We’re looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team in our West Kensington Office. With occasional travel to our client’s office in Hammersmith, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day administrative functions across our operations, ensuring all processes run smoothly and in line with company procedures.
This role involves working closely with colleagues, clients, and service users to deliver accurate, timely and professional support. You’ll be responsible for commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best-in-class commercial acumen, customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring accuracy of work order pricing by reviewing and quality checking work orders, including sub-contractor data submissions, to enable progression of completed jobs to invoicing and maximise cash collection while minimising unbilled work.
- Liaison with sub-contractors to resolve queries or disputes, report discrepancies or trends in pricing to the General Manager, and ensure codes claimed are correct within the job specification so costs can be recovered and payment is not delayed.
- Running pay notices for sub-contractors.
- Provide coding advice to Planning Team to ensure jobs are raised or varied correctly.
- Work with the client to deal with sub-contractor variations.
- Work with team members to ensure a commercially competent service is delivered to service users and client, supporting high levels of satisfaction with performance delivery in line with agreed standard operating/contractual procedures and targets.
- Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by maintaining a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders, including appearance, company ID, and health & safety standards.
- Keep all supplied company assets in good condition in line with company policies.
- Provide assistance with other tasks that may arise commercially.
- Attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required.

- Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
- Confident using computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong customer service ethos with a professional approach to all interactions
- Ability to liaise effectively with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Willingness to attend meetings and training sessions as required
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health & safety and company procedures
