Celtic Horizons delivers estate services for United Welsh, including gas servicing, grounds maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and maintenance. Celtic Horizons was the first wholly owned subsidiary of its kind formed by United Welsh who have entered into a partnership with Mears Group. Celtic Horizons care for over 5000 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.

About the Role

We are looking to hire an FRA Carpenter to join the team! As a field-based role, you\'ll be required to cover Swansea to Abergavenny. You will audit Fire Doors, carry out actions related to fire prevention such as fire stopping, fire boarding etc. and must be willing to undertake training.

You\'ll undertake all aspects of passive fire protection including timber fire door sets installation in line with current legislation and undertake fire stopping tasks as directed by FRA findings.

Role Criteria

To be considered for the role we are looking for a candidate with excellent time management skills and the ability to co-ordinate with other operatives and contacts on site. Working as a key member of the Team is essential. You will also have a good understanding for the importance Health & Safety. Experience of providing excellent customer service is also key to the role.

  • Must have the ability to communicate with client\'s representatives, tenants and other agencies as required
  • To be able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve targets set by management.
  • Have a willingness to learn. Have a flexible approach around client\'s needs.
  • Full UK driving license
  • Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry and Joinery, preferably NVQ Level 3
  • Relevant experience in fitting of fire doors/repairs and knowledge of fire safety
