They are seeking a Solicitor specialising in Housing Disrepair.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims for tenants
- Ensure compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims
- Understand relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act
- Draft Letters of Claim
- Gather and assess special damages
- Review housing records to determine liability
- Analyze surveyor’s reports for both Claimant and Defendant
- Negotiate and settle claims
- Liaise with counsel
- Use Proclaim software effectively, adhering to business processes and policies
- Maintain excellent client relationships, prioritising their needs
- Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to high service levels and productivity with partner firms
- Perform additional duties to support business operations
Experience Needed:
- Housing Disrepair experience is essential; candidates with 3-5+ years of contentious civil litigation experience will also be considered
- Proclaim case management system experience is required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple priorities
- Experience litigating own cases
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and diarising skills
- Positive, flexible attitude with composure under pressure
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

Remuneration & Work Location:
