Our Meallmore team at Kincaid House is looking to warmly welcome a Senior Care Assistant to join their care home. Kincaid House is a modern facility with beautiful views of the River Clyde and mountains, catering to frail elderly residents and those with dementia.
We offer mentorship, ongoing learning, and development to support your career growth. Registration as a supervisor with the SSSC is required if you're not already registered.
Your role as a Senior Care Assistant includes:
- Supporting the Registered Nurse/Team Leader in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating residents' holistic care needs.
- Promoting safe work practices in compliance with standards, policies, and legislation.
- Collaborating with departments to achieve positive outcomes.
- Supporting care staff and carrying out personal care duties.
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience as a care assistant/support worker or in a similar setting.
- Working towards SSSC registration requirements.
- SVQ level 3 or above/equivalent in Social Services and Healthcare (desirable).
- PDA/Equivalent in Supervision.
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
- Kind and caring nature.
