Our Meallmore team at Manor are ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Located in the historic market town and fishing port of Nairn in the Scottish Highlands, Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care home offering personalised nursing care to people with physical, neurological or learning disabilities.

Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be as a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner, the choice is yours!

If you’re not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register to the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), Meallmore will support you with this process.

Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:

  • To promote/provide a high quality of care and support in accordance with Individual care/support plans.
  • To assist in creating wellbeing within a caring environment and be involved in the general activities of the home.
  • To adhere to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, National Care Standards.
  • To work in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
  • Collaborate with care staff in your department and wider teams.
  • Carry out personal care duties.

Desirable skills:

  • Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
  • Communication and rapport building skills.
  • Kind caring nature.
