Pitfodels Wood is our brand new 65-bed, luxury care home located in Aberdeen’s prestigious Pitfodels Conservation Area in the city’s sought-after West End. Combining five-star hospitality with high-quality, person-centred care, we are setting a new benchmark for care in the North East.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. A good kitchen is a clean kitchen, and as a kitchen assistant you’ll be tasked with ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness are the best they can be whilst supporting our chefs with basic tasks.

Role & Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
- Assisting with basic food preparation when required under the supervision of the chefs
- Unloading deliveries and storing food items properly
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties
- Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained

- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player with a willingness to learn
- A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest in the well-being of our residents
- It would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene; however, full training will be given – so we are keen to speak to anyone who likes a kitchen environment, who is interested and passionate about food and who cares about others
