Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the Head chef to organise, plan and prepare meals ensuring that all home cooked food not only looks and tastes delicious but also reflects the preferences and dietary requirements of each resident.
  • Produce home cooked meals for the residents including specific dietary requirements such as textured food options, ensuring compliance with dietary standards.
  • Comply with industry and Meallmore quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • You will be involved in menu development, tailoring around residents needs, likes and dislikes to ensure we deliver person-centred hospitality.

Salary and Hours

  • Salary: £13.27 per hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong cookery skills and creativity in preparing home cooked nutritious meals for our residents
  • A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest in the well being of our residents
  • Ability to work to deadlines meeting the needs of the residents
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety practices
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs and food allergies is desirable but not essential
  • A culinary qualification is desirable but not essential
