Salary: £13.63 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week including alternative weekends

As head of our housekeeping team, you are fundamental to the smooth running of the home for our residents. You will lead, manage and be accountable for the housekeeping and laundry team to achieve and maintain Meallmore’s standards and compliance with infection control and health and safety procedures. Above all, making our residents feel at home and an environment where they love to live.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Home Manager, you will ensure that you lead and inspire your team, promoting high standards of cleanliness and infection control whilst adhering to company policies, Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
  • Adhere to health & safety protocols to ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and audits to ensure set cleaning schedules are completed and followed.
  • Responsible for ordering and stock management in accordance with budgets.
  • Responsible for the housekeeping and laundry teams rotas ensuring they are relevant to the needs of the home.
  • Manage training requirements and encourage development opportunities within the team.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to the housekeeping team and participate in meetings / supervisions.

What we are looking for

  • You will have previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or have the skills to take the next step in your career - we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant experience and share our core values.
  • Your previous experience will come with knowledge of cleaning schedules, COSHH, infection control and health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and organisation.
  • Proactive, ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to lead and inspire the team.
  • A kind and caring nature to enjoy the time spent interacting with our residents each day.
