The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

Hilton Court located in Rosyth on the coast of the Firth of Forth has bus routes from Cowdenbeath, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Inverkeithing & Lochgelly for easy transport. Rosyth Train Station is also a 25-minute walk from the care home.

Hours: 40.25 hours per week

Salary: £14.51 - £15.18 per hour (depending on experience)

Working as a Senior Care Practitioner is key to supporting Registered Nurses in working together to enrich our residents’ lives as you provide high standards of person-centred care whilst leading and supporting the team – where our residents' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will give you all the support and resources you need to develop your skills and exceed your professional goals in your career whether that be a Deputy Manager or Registered Home Manager, the choice is yours!

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support and implement companywide initiatives and strategies to promote continuous quality improvement and company values.
  • Having a daily oversight of the staff team performance, and provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to promote positive improvements.
  • Be accountable for clear and safe record keeping including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluating the Personal Outcomes of individuals using the service.
  • Planning and organising the unit routines and systems for you and your team, including documentation & evidencing care provision.
  • Responsible for leading team communication including team meetings, effective reports and handovers, relations between all colleagues.
  • Uphold the National Health & Social Care Standards and company values and mission statement when dealing with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of care and support for residents, evaluating staff attitude and practices.
  • Ensures any complaints are dealt with in a professional manner following the Meallmore guidelines.
  • Actively lead, delegate, motivate and mentor your team, delivering guidance, cascading knowledge & training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the unit & achieve home objectives/goals.
  • Proactively ensure the Meallmore quality assurance processes are completed in a timely manner and the results are acted upon.
  • Lead and manage compliance of the staff team in documentation and practice to reduce risks through person centred care plans and the implementation of consistently good quality care and support.

What we are looking for:

  • Currently hold SVQ Level 3 or above / equivalent in Health and Social Care.
  • You will be required to successfully achieve an SVQ Level 4 Social Services & Healthcare within the role and Meallmore will fully support you to achieve this.
  • Experience of working in a Health or Social Care setting as an experienced Senior Care Worker.
  • Knowledge of Care Inspectorate and National Health & Social Care Standards.
  • Experience of leading a team is essential with the ability to coach, inspire and mentor others.
  • Organised with the ability to balance administrative tasks and clinical care.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external customers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Motivated, compassionate and values driven - you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to care.
  • Organised, flexible in your approach and have great communication skills.
