We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and flexible individuals to join our team as a Housekeeping & Kitchen Assistant on a bank basis. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service. Working across both housekeeping and kitchen departments, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, patients, or customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Housekeeping Duties: Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas and rooms are maintained to the highest cleaning standards. You will ideally bring experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role, along with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH, and compliance standards; however, full training will be provided if this role is new to you. Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues to address needs and concerns.
- Kitchen Assistant Duties: Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; keeping kitchen areas clean and organised; assisting with basic food preparation when required under the supervision of the chefs; unloading deliveries and storing food items properly; assisting in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties.
What We're Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or kitchen experience is preferred, but full training will be given.
- Pride in your work, attention to detail, time management, and respectful communication.
- The ability to work well as part of a team or on your own, demonstrating a kind and caring nature to all within the care home.
- The ability to follow instructions and work well with others in a professional and courteous manner.
