We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. A good kitchen is a clean kitchen, and as a kitchen assistant you’ll be tasked with ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness are the best they can be whilst supporting chefs with basic tasks.
By joining Meallmore you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our residents as well as develop your career if you wish to do so through our Kitchen Excellence Academy.
Salary: £12.27 per hour
Hours: 11.5 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- Keeping kitchen areas clean and organised
- Assisting with basic food preparation when required under the supervision of the chefs
- Unloading deliveries and storing food items properly
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of kitchen duties
- Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player with a willingness to learn
- A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest of the well-being of our residents.
- It would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene however full training will be given – so we are keen to speak to anyone who likes a kitchen environment, who is interested and passionate about food and who cares about others.
