We’re looking for a Technology Support Officer (TSO) to join our North Technology team, based at Lift Kingswood and supporting schools across Hull & Louth. About the role
This is a hands‑on, people‑facing role where you’ll work closely with colleagues and students to ensure technology genuinely supports the teaching, learning as well as day‑to‑day school life. You’ll be based primarily at Lift Kingswood, with frequent travel to nearby schools including Lift Hall Road, Lift The Green Way, Lift Newington, Lift North Thoresby and Lift Utterby situated in Louth (North Lincolnshire). You’ll work closely with a local team of technology colleagues and be supported by the wider central Technology network across Lift Schools. A reasonable commute to Lift Kingswood is important, as the role involves regular on‑site support across the schools.
What you’ll be doing
- Support for staff and students
- Lead the IT inductions for new staff joining our schools.
- Help staff use technology before, during and after lessons.
- Support students with technology to enhance their learning.
- Lead training sessions for colleagues and students on using technology confidently.
- Lead projects, trials and pilots to explore new ways of using technology in the classroom.
- Work with other Technology Support Officers across Lift Schools to share ideas and good practices in EdTech.
- Technology maintenance and setup.
- Work with the IT team to ensure technology runs smoothly across the school.
- Oversee the rollout and refresh of devices, working with the central team to keep plans on track.
Strategic input
- Work with school leaders to embed technology into the school improvement plan and wider strategy.
- Suggest ways technology can support the school’s priorities and improve teaching, learning and operations.
