About the school
Lift Hazelwood is part of Lift Schools, a MAT of 59 schools which allows access to the best training programmes available as well as more internal opportunities. Lift Hazelwood is a one-form entry primary school with an attached nursery, situated in West Swindon, located just off J16 of the M4. There are currently just over 200 pupils on roll and pupils benefit from a modern, purpose built school building with extensive grounds.
Your new role
The school is vibrant and very busy with a friendly culture. The Midday Supervisor will take care of all students on the school premises during any breaktime hours when students are not in class. The role is critical in ensuring the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of students, supervising students in dining areas, playgrounds and other designated areas within the school premises to create a safe and enjoyable breaktime experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in dining areas and playgrounds during breaktime.
- Ensure the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of all pupils on school premises.
- Respond promptly to incidents and resolve problems independently.
- Maintain calm and composure in stressful situations.
- Use initiative to create a safe and enjoyable breaktime experience.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have experience of supervising children or young people as a parent or carer with the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and to resolve problems independently and use initiative.
