Role Overview
Cover Supervisor – responsible for teaching and supervising classes during both planned and unplanned teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning across all subjects.
Duties include:
- Teaching and supporting classes during planned and unplanned absences.
- Maintaining a calm, focused classroom to support uninterrupted learning.
- Ensuring student progress and engagement across the curriculum.
- Collaborating with colleagues to support inclusive practices and student welfare.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of a range of strategies for whole-class and individual behaviour management.
- Level 2 qualifications – GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4) or equivalent.
- A university degree or equivalent level of qualification (level 6).
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Ability to build positive relationships with all students.
