Full Time, Permanent 37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year September 2026 Start

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained every day.
  • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and site improvement works.
  • Open and close the school site and act as a key holder, responding to emergency call-outs where required.
  • Support statutory compliance by carrying out routine health and safety, fire safety and site inspections.
  • Monitor contractors on site and report larger maintenance issues through the Trust's facilities management system.
  • Prepare the school for events and support the day-to-day operational needs of the academy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in premises, facilities or building maintenance.
  • Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and site security.
  • Someone who is organised, reliable and able to prioritise their workload.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills who can also work independently.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining high standards across the school site.
