Position: Pastoral Leader (Permanent, Full Time)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Start Date: September 2026 or sooner

Role Overview

We are looking for a Pastoral Leader to join our team and take a proactive role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance of our students. This vital position requires someone who is passionate about helping young people thrive both personally and academically.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate student wellbeing and behaviour initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor attendance strategies.
  • Lead trauma perceptive practice (TPP) and SEMH interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to support students.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people and motivating them to achieve their best.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) and experience of leading SEMH interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Commitment to supporting students’ personal development, wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Confidence working with staff, families and external agencies.
  • Ability to use data (or willingness to develop data‐management skills) to track and improve behaviour and attendance.
  • Strong teamwork skills and initiative to make a positive impact.
