At Lift Greenwood, we believe mathematics is central to students’ academic success and future opportunities. Our ambitious and carefully sequenced curriculum is designed to develop confident, independent learners who can reason mathematically, solve problems effectively and apply their learning in real‑world contexts.

Students are supported in becoming fluent mathematicians, analytical thinkers, and effective communicators through engaging and carefully structured learning experiences. Our curriculum develops deep conceptual understanding across number, algebra, geometry, ratio and statistics, while encouraging students to justify, explain and apply their mathematical thinking with precision and confidence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that develop students’ fluency, reasoning and problem‑solving skills. At Key Stage 3, students follow a mastery‑based curriculum that develops strong foundations across number, algebra, geometry and statistics, with a focus on conceptual understanding, mathematical thinking and communication. At Key Stage 4, students build on these skills through GCSE Mathematics, developing confidence, fluency and problem‑solving abilities to support success in examinations and beyond.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for mathematics and mathematical thinking.
  • Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Has high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
  • Creates a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Is committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
  • Promotes confidence, resilience and curiosity in mathematics.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

You will have experience delivering a broad and balanced Maths curriculum and create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and motivated to succeed. You will be confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress effectively and providing high‑quality feedback that raises standards and outcomes. You will be joining an experienced, collaborative and ambitious Maths department committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and ensuring all students are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.

The department is passionate about developing confident, resilient and analytical learners through engaging lessons, strong curriculum planning and a shared commitment to high expectations and continuous improvement.
