Lift Montgomery Primary is an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ school. The role is a School Facilities Manager, playing a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained every day.
Location: Lift Montgomery, White Road, Birmingham, B11 1EH, United Kingdom
Hours: Full-time role with two shift patterns: Shift 1 is Monday–Thursday 6:30am–2:30pm and Friday 6:30am–2:00pm; Shift 2 is Monday–Thursday 10:30am–6:30pm and Friday 11:00am–6:00pm.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: NCJ point 12 (£27,254) - 17 (£29,540) + well-being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

The School Facilities Manager plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that the site operates safely and effectively at all times. The role operates on a shift basis, with two different shift patterns, and includes responsibility for responding to on-call call-outs when required.
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly environment, carrying out minor repairs, managing site security, and overseeing on-site contractors, ensuring facilities are fit for purpose and ready to support learning.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- You will have experience in premises, facilities, or building management, with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures and site security.
- You will be practical, organised, and proactive, able to carry out general repairs, safely move equipment, and follow instructions relating to equipment and materials.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, as you will be required to travel and respond to on-call call-outs when necessary.
